Contrary to popular belief, fantasy football did not come of age until 1999. This is the year that the Gridiron Godz fantasy football league was established. And with the formation of this super league came a new standard of competition. Finally there is one league with members knowledgable in the art of of fantasy football, members wise enough to set out their own rules, members honorable in their dealings, members with the integrity to play every game with all-out effort regardless of their overall standings. Humility is for the weak, winning is what matters, how you go about winning is what makes getting up in the morning worthwhile. Sempre Godz. Here are some basic facts about this group and how it functions. We all chose to play this game with these people, though few have met in person, we all know each other. Members range from Florida to Canada, from California to the east coast. All important decisions are made democratically, no dictator's here. |
All hail the new Champion. 2003 Gridiron Godz League Champion Sean Francis has ascended the throne, (we sincerely hope he has paper), from which he will strategerize in hopes of repeating his amazing 2003 season. Sean finished well back in the 2002 field of ten and successfully reversed his course to win it all this year. After a second place finish in the tougher East Division he showed his hand as the strongest when it matters most. And now he sits beside past Champions Rick Jones and John Senn in Gridhalla, the mythical football heaven that you don't have to die for to gain entry; you just have to be the best.
We need to also gives kudos to Adam Stone. Adam is the 2003 Champion of Red Shirt Godz the Gridiron Godz affiliate now entering its second year of existence. Adam dominated the regular season and then the playoffs, he also has a seat in Gridhalla, all hail the RSG Champion, Adam Stone. |
